ABOUT THE OWNER

I have been boating for over 25 years and especially enjoy boating in the waters of Puget Sound.

During my years of boating I have purchased several used boats as have my fellow yacht club friends.  All of these boats had something in common.  They all had had poor quality repairs and/or unsafe installation of electrical and other marine equipment.  Being concerned about boater safety I realized that there was a need to help the “do-it yourself” owners with electrical installation and wiring projects. My focus was to have them perform their work in a safe manner (as mandated by American Boat and Yacht Council “ABYC” & Coast Guard regulations) as well as achieve a professionally installed appearance.

In 2005 I started Boat Electric Consulting to offer these services to even more boaters in the Puget Sound area. I also joined ABYC that year to ensure that I was a reliable source for current rules and regulations concerning electrical systems in boats.

In 2007 I expanded my small business and started selling marine electronics in an effort to help reduce the cost of quality marine electronics for boaters.

This year (2009) despite the weak economy, I have made the decision to start a web site that will reach out to boaters across the country introducing them to my consulting services as well as offer them discounted electronic and other marine supplies.
